Glutamine is the most abundant single amino acid in the blood. It literally drives muscle building nitrogen into the muscle cell where it is synthesized for growth. Glutamine concentrations fall markedly after training and remain low until complete recovery - this fall in glutamine may be catabolic to muscle tissue. Supplementing with glutamine may spare free glutamine in muscle tissue, which counteracts the fall in muscle protein synthesis, and therefore improves nitrogen balance. It may also help recovery from stress of trauma, for example, strenuous exercise, surgery or burns. Unflavoured. 50 x 5gm servings per container.
